Rocky Mount, NC WOC Thank You Letter
November 11, 2008
Congratulations! The Rocky Mount, North Carolina Weekend of Champions could be a model for all our Weekends. Led by Skip Watson, the dedicated local team did an outstanding job, using the playbook to rack up high scores for a full two weeks.
The first week saw Champions for Today with Mike McCoy, Keith Davis, and Tanya Crevier going into 14 schools and reaching a total of 5,828 students, many of whom made decisions for Christ. Saturday night’s YMCA rally brought out 450 youths and 300 decisions. This set the stage for the following prison week.
The Department of Corrections in Rocky Mount could not have been more helpful – handling all transportation for teammates, platform guests, and airport runs. We commend Mike Dew from the DOC for putting together the motor pool that kept us moving.
The Rocky Mount example to follow is freshman recruiting. Nearly half of our teammates were first timers, and now they’re all qualified veterans. The stories they shared at the Friday night banquet filled our joy cups to overflowing. Praise God for new soul winners with fresh stories of how God is working.
The most important part of the Weekend is the decisions for Christ. There were 1,687 names recorded in the Lamb’s book of life: 607 first-time decisions and 1080 rededications. Factoring in the schools and the YMCA rally totals over 2,000 decisions for the two-week event.
Thank you all for your service, support, and prayers for these events. The Dallas Weekend is next. Pray for a mighty harvest for the Kingdom.
In Him As Always
With Love,

Bill Glass
